Club News

March Meeting by Pam Pawlowski
The meeting was short. We had the Penny Social and each one is getting better and better! I won a juicer, still in the box. Tom Ross brought in a stack of Scientific Observer papers from the 1800's. Next time we have one of these we'll have to get bigger tables!
Bob Lanpher brought in some really great milks for Show & Tell. One was one of the earliest, an early Thatcher milk.
Hi, no. High! by Pam Pawlowski
This newsletter is very late and very short. I had foot surgery on the 26th which was supposed to be a 1 or 2 day stay for pain management. I didn't leave there until Friday night! I am heavily medicated for pain and writing this newsletter with some pretty funny thoughts in my head, but am unable to write them down. Thank god for spell check. Oh, one more thing.... I really don't remember the last meeting at all. But my point to this explanation is I hope to have a more informative newsletter next month as I plan to record the whole thing.

Facelift For The Website by Dave Andrews
If you are reading this newsletter you've probably noticed the changes that have taken place in regards to the look and feel of the website. A main navagation bar is located at the top left side of every page and hopefully this will make it easier for you to access different areas regardless of where you are in the site. Some pages also have sub menus like the Prior Newsletters one to the left, making it easier for you to get deeper into an area but still able to get out quickly. Every page has the same overall appearance but slight differences will always let you know exactly where you are.
The book and book related pages have also gone through the same facelift and another change will be coming up within the next few months. Because of the multitude of bottles that have been added to the online book, the method used to assign numbers to each bottle is getting out of hand. A complete revision of the numbers will occur sometime during the summer. The reason I'm waiting until then is because I am trying to get together with several club members to photograph and catalogue their RI items, some of which are not currently in the book. I want to take care of as much as possible before updating the numbers and don't want to go through it again at least for a few years. Over 300 new bottles have been reported since the book was published in 1996 so it really is time for an overhaul. I'll let you know when this next change is taking place.
