SEPTEMBER MEETING by Julie Narcovich
Hello, everyone! It's time to welcome everyone back from our short summer season. Our first meeting after the summer will be held on September 9, 2003 at 7:30pm and, as always, it is held at the Pontiac Library, 101 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, RI.
The topic for September's meeting will be "Summer Finds". We will also be having a presentation by Donald Carpenter, who Dave Thatcher lined up for us, about prominent Rhode Island Mills and their establishments on the railroads. He has a great deasl of knowledge on this subject as well as many photographs.
Don't miss out on this one. You could learn a great deal!
As for me, this is just the beginning of many good newsletters to come. Maybe next summer I will give the June letter to Pam to complete. I seem to have a very difficult time getting it out to everyone. I don't even want to bring up May's newsletter....
Til then, enjoy the rest of the summer weather and we will see you at September's meeting. Do not forget to bring in those summer finds.
