Charles E. Chagnon was a
physician and registered pharmacist located at 65
Washington Street in Arctic, RI circa 1900 - 1936.
He had put out a Chagnon's Headache Cure which he
claimed had been on the market for 24 years having
been previously manufactured by his father, a
prominent Fall River, Massachusetts
physician.

In 1907, Dr. Chagnon claimed
to have cured over 2,000,000 people, saying that
his product was a remedy which was the ultimate non
narcotic cure for headaches, effective without
containing heart depressing drugs, and which was
imitated by many others but never becoming equal in
respect. He also claimed relief in five minutes
from headache and also cured neuralgias, periodical
pains, colds, grippe, sleeplessness, and all fever
conditions. The cure sold for twenty-five cents a
box which contained ten doses per box, and was
available by mail order to anywhere in the world
upon request.
