C. Dyer, Jr.

Charles Dyer, Jr. had been a druggist at 36-38 Weybosset Street in Providence since 1832. In 1841 he became an agent for many of the leading medicines of the time. He was then located in Butler's Row at 42 Westminister Street, also in Providence.

In 1847, Dyer began preparing medicines for many other druggists and apothecaries. His place of business was located at 82-84 Westminister Street.

The most well known of his preparations was DYER'S HEALING EMBROCATION. These bottles are aqua and found either pontilled or smooth base.

He also put out his own FRENCH TONIC, RESTORATIVE CORDIAL, and an ORANGE FLOWER & ORRIS TOOTH PASTE. The bottles were probably label only as no embossed examples have been found.
