A. L. Heintz

In 1898, Carl Lichtenberg, a dealer and collector of fine liquors located at 59 South Main Street in Providence, was succeeded by Augustus L. Heintz & Co. (with Henry A. Daughty).

Heintz immediately moved the company to a new location at 184-186 South Main Street where they remained for three short years, closing the business in 1901.

At that time, Daughty opened his own liquor business which was located at 144 Dorrance Street also in Providence.
