S. Hunt

S. Hunt & Co. (Dr. S. B. Hunt and Edmund J. Luther, pharmacist) was an apothecary that also dealt in books, periodicals, newspapers, and fancy goods at the corner of 1st Street and Warren Avenue in East Providence in 1869.

By 1876, as pharmacists, they had moved to the Ray's Block in Watchemoket (an area in East Providence) still under the S. Hunt & Co. name but with Dr. Hunt and Wm. T. Jenks listed as partners.

In 1880, Wm. E. Clarke took over the company and moved it to 310 South Main Street in Providence and renamed it the Hunt's remedy Co.
