Dr. J. Lariviere

Female Health Regulator

Joseph Lariviere was a physician at 16 Division Street in the Manville section of Lincoln, RI circa 1877.

He put out his own Female Health Regulator which was actually a nerve tonic. He claimed that a tablespoon of his regulator taken before meals gave strength, stopped pain, and facilitated digestion, and was the best heart, stomach, liver, and kidney regulator around.

He was also proprietor of a Female Porous Plaster which he considered the best in the world for women. By sending 25¢ in stamps he would send it to you with full information and certificates concerning this marvelous remedy.

In 1877, William N, Orcutt, formerly of Woonsocket, moved to Manville and opened William N. Orcutt, Pharmacists, and began manufacturing Dr. Lariviere's female Health Regulator.

Dr. Lariviere was listed as a physician only until 1903.
