Modox was a "thirst quenching beverage" manufactured by the Nickle-Tone Co. at 17-19 Mathewson St. in Providence, RI circa 1904. The company's ad stated it was made from indian tonic and herbs and was considered a health tonic for the stomach and the nerves. By 1907 the company had moved to 233 West Exchange St. in Providence and also had introduced a drink called Phosa. The company went out of business circa 1909.
