Dr. Samuel F. Stowe was located in Providence R.I. in the later
1800's. His most well known medicine was his Stowe's Ambrosial
Nectar although he had other medicines including a Vegetable
Rheumatic Tincture and a Magic Fluid.
After his death in 1882, his daughter, Sally B. Stowe, took
over and kept the business running. She even patented a Dr.
Samuel Stowes Vegetable Rheumatic Tincture in 1884.
