The syrup was a speedy cure
for dysentery, cholera morbus, diarrhea, bowel
complaints, sick or sour stomach, and pain and
cramps.
Sutton changed his residence
five times during the years of his manufacturing
the syrups. This was highly unusual since he always
conducted his business at each address, not having
a separate steadfast office location.
Following is a list of his
residences over a ten year period;
1866-67......97 Chestnut
St.
1867-70......18 Wheaton
St.
1871-72......73 Charles Field
Rd.
1873-74......29 Jenkins
St.
1875-76......55 Greenwich
Ave.
Evidently Sutton evidently
went out of business after 1876 since no more
information is available.
