The Western Hotel was owned
by Patrick Lynch, a bottler and retail dealer of
liquors, in Nasonville, located in the
Burrillville/Mohegan area of Rhode Island in 1883.
The hotel was located at Main Street and Pascoag
Road with Bernard L. Lynch as manager. They
advertised room and board by the day or the night
and also had a stable and a sample room.
Lynch also owned and operated
the Nasonville Bottling Company, bottling such
beverages as sarsaparilla, ginger ale, lager beer,
and mineral water.
Around 1910, the hotel was
sold to Richard McManus and John P. Meade who
continued bottling the beverages listed above and
adding root beer and tonic to the list.
The bottling company has been
gone for a long time, but the hotel was still
operating until recently.
